Appraisals
The preservation and restoration of works of art is an exacting process that requires a delicate balance of skill, experience and patience.
With more that twenty years experience in this field, working for major galleries, museums and antiquarian trade in Europe, we are pleased to offer you a full restoration service. We undertake the restoration of paintings, prints and watercolours including the re-gliding and repair of frames.
Your works will be carefully assessed and documented, if required we can advise on the framing and display of your paintings.
We offer as part of our service a valuation and identification service and should you wish to sell your painting we have personal contact with all the major action houses and many private collectors both in Canada and Europe.
Estate Liquidation & Downsizing Management
Don’t make the mistake of under-valuing estate or personal property. Treasure is found at every garage and estate sale, so it’s in your best interest to make sure you know what you have before you sell or give it away.

- Work with executors, clients and the public trustee if required.
- Ensure accurate evaluations of all antiques and collectibles.
- Facilitate an ‘on-site’ preliminary appraisal and categorize the contents of the estate.
- Arrange to have all valuable estate and gemstone jewelry appraised by a certified gemologist.
- Broker or consign any quality antiques and collectibles.
- Crate paintings and arrange transportation of fine art to international auction houses.
- Conduct and provide all resources for on site ‘auctions’ of large estates.
- Take it one step further by co-ordinating and providing experienced staff for an on-site estate or garage sale.
- Facilitate the removal of any left over clutter and arrange the clean up of the property.

Clay Elmquist of LC Coins has his own space along with our other fine dealers at Fine Point Antiques and we’re all excited to have him join our team. Clay will be available every Tuesday and Wednesday during regular store hours for private evaluation and he has an enhanced inventory display for collectors of all types. If you prefer to see him outside of those times you can call to set up an appointment.
